Ceylon
Until the 1880's, very little tea was grown in Ceylon. Now known
as Sri Lanka, the verdant hills are planted with world class tea. The of the top tea estates boast a presence and can be depended upon for the finest pluckings. The tea produced on these estates
is still called Ceylon and is considered some of the best in the world. The principal production of Ceylon tea is of black or fully oxidized tea. The highland teas are exceptional, but since they
are grown at elevations of seven thousand feet, they are also rare. This is a very rich and full-bodied tea, intoxicatingly fragrant with superior black teas leaves and produces an uplifting, delicious cup. Excellent for a morning tea with cream and sweetener.

Darjeeling*This tea comes from the most romantic and interesting tea district in all India. It grows on the southern slopes of the Himalayas, which are located on India’s northern border. TGFOP standards are considered the fanciest of Darjeeling teas. The long and partially opened leaf produces a full-bodied, rich, red liquor, together with a delicious and indescribable flavor of its own. Most people prefer this straight and unsweetened, although some like a little lemon and honey or sugar.

Keemun*
Keemun is produced in the Qimen County of Huangshan City, in Anhui Anhwei) province. ("Keemun" was the English spelling for "Qimen" during the colonial era.) Keemun teas have been referred to as the burgundy of teas. considered to be one of the finest teas in the world. Keemun has a relatively short history. It was first produced in 1875 by a failed civil servant, Yu Quianchen, after he traveled to Fujian province to learn the secrets of black tea production. Prior to that, only green tea was made in Anhui. The result exceeded his expectations, and the excellent Keemun tea quickly gained popularity in England, and became the most prominent ingredient of English Breakfast.
Keemun is a 'gonfu' tea, which means that it is made with refined skill to produce the thin tight strips of leaf without breaking the leaves.
Aromatic with a rich, distinctive, floral, almost sweet flavor. it is a mellow tea that can be taken plain as well as with sugar and/or milk. avoid using lemon however, as the combined tastes of the "winey" tea flavor with the citrus will be too tart. Be sure not to over-brew!

English Breakfast*
An all-time English and American classic, this tea is typically a blend of black teas such as Assam, Ceylon, and Kenyan teas predominating, and Keemun sometimes included in more expensive blends. Accounts of its origins vary. Drinking a blend of black teas for breakfast is indeed a longstanding British custom. The practice of referring to such a blend as "English breakfast tea" appears to have originated not in England but America, as far back as Colonial times. Full-bodied and malty, perfect with cream and sweetener. Treat yourself.

Irish Breakfast*
Irish Breakfast tea is a full-bodied, malty brew. It is a blend of several black teas: most often Assam teas and, less often, other types of black tea. In Ireland, it is not referred to as "Irish Breakfast tea", but simply as "tea". It is enjoyed throughout the day and evening. The Irish brands, such as Lyons and Barry's, are heavily weighted toward Assam. Due to its strength, Irish Breakfast tea is commonly served with milk, but some prefer to drink it straight or with lemon or sugar.

Earl Grey*
One of the most famous and well known teas, Earl Grey's distinctive flavor and aroma are derived from the addition of oil extracted from the rind of the Bergamot orange, a fragrant citrus fruit native to southeast Asia and grown commercially in Italy.
Earl Grey is named after the 2nd Earl Grey, British Prime Minister in the 1830s and author of the Reform Bill of 1832, who reputedly received a gift, probably a diplomatic perquisite, of tea flavored with bergamot.

A new chai blend here at Vital Living, this chai doesn't have chili peppers so it's not as spicy and intense as our Shavano Spice. This one tastes more traditional, and is similar to a lot of chai's out there, but of course we've made it all our own: the black tea we use in this is flavored with an awesome vanilla butter nut all natural flavoring and makes it quite unique. We know you'll love it!
